LUCINDA HOLLOWAY

COUNSELLING & PSYCHOTHERAPY

WELCOME

Life can bring some really difficult moments - grief, breakups, stress, old patterns that keep repeating - or sometimes it’s simply a feeling of being stuck, without quite knowing why. You don’t have to go through it alone. I’m here to listen, support you, and help you make sense of what’s happening so you can start to feel more grounded and move forward in a way that feels right for you.

ABOUT ME

I’m an integrative transpersonal psychotherapist, which means I draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on what you need and what feels most helpful for you. Whilst my training and professional registration ensure I work to high ethical and professional standards, what matters most is that you feel heard, understood, and supported in our work together.

Clients often tell me they appreciate my calm, down-to-earth approach, and that therapy with me feels like a thoughtful conversation rather than a clinical process.

FAQS

Counselling and Psychotherapy

Counselling is often shorter-term and focuses on specific issues or difficulties you may be experiencing. It can offer support, clarity, and practical ways of moving forward.

Psychotherapy is usually longer-term and allows space to explore deeper patterns that may have developed over time and are affecting your life now. This can help you gain a clearer understanding of yourself and make more conscious choices.

Both approaches can support meaningful change, and we can talk together about what feels most appropriate for you.

My Approach

I work integratively, meaning I don’t use a one-size-fits-all method. Instead, I tailor our work to you, drawing on a range of therapeutic perspectives and skills. Central to my approach is the relationship we build together. Developing trust takes time, and I believe this is a vital part of effective therapy.

What Is Transpersonal Psychotherapy?

Transpersonal psychotherapy looks not only at difficulties and challenges, but also at your strengths, values, and sense of meaning. For some people, this includes exploring spirituality or purpose; for others, it is about developing a deeper connection with themselves.

You do not need to consider yourself “spiritual” to benefit from this approach. The work is guided by what feels relevant and supportive for you.

What to Expect

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. You can share what has brought you to therapy, ask any questions you may have, and get a sense of whether working together feels right. There is no obligation to continue beyond this if it does not feel like a good fit.

Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place weekly at a regular time. I ask for 48 hours’ notice for cancellations.

Everything you share is treated with care and confidentiality, in line with professional and ethical guidelines.

Issues I Can Help With

People come to therapy for many different reasons. Some of the areas I commonly work with include:

  • Anxiety and stress
  • Low mood and depression
  • Self-esteem and confidence
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Life transitions and change
  • Past experiences that continue to affect the present

If what you are dealing with is not listed here, that does not mean therapy would not be helpful. We can talk about what you are experiencing and decide together whether working together feels right.
